Dog Barks at Coffin during Funeral, Suspicious Son Opens It and Finds It Empty – Story of the Day

Ryan wasn’t ready to say goodbye to his father. As he stood outside the church, his dog Bella barked loudly, but he ignored her and walked inside. Arnold’s casket was already closed. Since Arnold had died of an infectious disease, the area around the casket was restricted, and he would be cremated instead of buried.

As the final hymn started, Bella’s barking echoed in the church. She jumped onto the casket, knocking over flowers, and barked nonstop. Everyone stared as Ryan shouted, “Open the casket!”

When Ryan opened it, he froze. The casket was empty. Shock spread through the crowd. Ryan’s mother fainted, and he rushed her to the hospital. Later, he called the police, who began an investigation.

Detective Bradshaw asked, “Was your father involved in anything unusual?” Ryan wasn’t sure, but Arnold was always a man of principles. Left without answers, Ryan went to the morgue only to discover that his father’s file was missing, and the coroner had resigned.

Ryan’s next stop was his father’s office. Mr. Stevens, Arnold’s lawyer, informed him that Arnold’s company was in debt and shared suspicions of an affair between Arnold and his secretary, Miss Pearson.

Determined to find the truth, Ryan followed Miss Pearson to her house. Inside, he found a life insurance policy worth $7 million naming Miss Pearson as the sole beneficiary. He took the document to the police, but Miss Pearson fled before they could catch her.

Ryan then tracked down a collector with a figurine from a set his father valued. Ryan sold his shares in the company to buy the figurine, using it as bait.

At the auction, Ryan watched as bids came in. Then, to his shock, his father appeared and bid $1 million. As Arnold tried to leave, Detective Bradshaw arrested him.

Arnold confessed he faked his death to start a new life with Miss Pearson. Ryan felt betrayed but said, “You taught me to do what’s right. You couldn’t follow your own advice, and now you’ll face the consequences.”
