Madison Lando had his fair share of struggles in life which he had hoped this event was the end of. It starts with a 33yr old single mother she was left a single mother after her husband Joe died in a mining accident two years prior. Joe who had always longed to be an archaeologist was a mine worker after failing to get a job in that line. Despite Madison constantly being concerned for the safety of her husband, she used to think she was going to lose him permanently.
Surviving had never been easy especially after the loss of Joe. The little money they were able to save gradually declined, Madison was working at a restaurant and sometimes earning just enough to put food on the table for both her and her three-year-old daughter. She had no choice but work hard in order to at least provide Trudy with a better life than the one she herself had.
One day return from play center, Trudy could not wait to tell her story to her parents especially her elder sister Noella. Her wealthy classmate, Bella La Fontaine, was hosting a birthday party for the entire class, but it came with a glaring condition: it turns out that all the children had to be dressed from the store only for children of Fontaine. Of course the prices were steep and Madison suddenly found a swell of hopelessness rising in her chest.
“Mom, I want to go!” Trudy pleaded. There was something almost endearing about the way she rarely seemed to lose her wonder in the world and that look finally pulled at Madison’s heartstrings.
“Okay, sweetheart. That shouldn’t be a problem, she said brightly while behind the cheerful exterior, she was apprehensive about the expenses that were involved.
When the pair walked out of the store they realised they cannot afford anything in there. It was too late for that but Madison decided not to let the situation get to Trudy’s head. In stead, she buys the fabric from a discount store and made a lovely dress for Trudy the whole night through. Rise of the sun saw her eyes gleaming with joy, she wore an outfit made at home with lots ofgetAttribute=plain.
“I love it, Mom!” The elated look in the face of Trudy which was caused by Madison made him to consider all the effort that he made.
But when they got to Bella’s over expensive birthday party, it was the lack of response from the other children that filled the room. They stood in front of the dressing table in their expensive wear and considered Trudy’s homemade dress an ideal subject to tease her with. Trudy was completely humiliated when the entire party listened to the jokes about their friendship so she ran out in tears of broken heart laughing all the way as they saw it.
After giving the butler the slip, Trudy suddenly slammed into the black stretch limousine parked outside the building. The driver exited the car growling and stopped in his tracks when a man came out of the back seat. His clean-shaven face smart appearance and the smell of prosperity rooted him Trudy but the passionate concern in his voice removed the ragged edge of her anger. “Be careful, little girl.”
At that moment, Madison run out door, realizing that Trudy is upset. In the dim light of the restaurant, she suddenly found her old nightmare standing before her; at least she thought so as she uttered, “Joe?”
Madison?” he repeated a little startled. The two hurried towards each other, instantly overwhelmed with some feelings. They hugged each other and, for the first time in her life, Trudy’s father looked small beside his wife, as Joe encased her in his arms.
“Trudy, this is your father,” Madison stated with trembling voice which made me nearly cry. Joe bent down to warm the fuzzy embrace; his daughter , who was still struggling to understand what was going on .
Feeling desperate, Joe had to tell the girl an unbelievable truth in that intimate moment. “I survived, Maddy. I was in an accident and I forgot how it happened. They thought I was dead,” he said filled with so much regret he narrated how he searched for them once he recovered his memory.
Madison told their story will they survived, how hard she had to fight to support the home and Trudy and how she felt the loss of a man she once loved so much. As it was stated during his maraud, Joe established a mining company and earned enough wealth to provide for his family and he was willing to get them back.
With their lives again beginning to merge, Joe guided Madison and Trudy home, to a well-lit, richly conceived apartment. Thus, he wanted to get the opportunity to make up for every lost moment.
In their new life they gained knowledge about kindness compassion and humility for one another. Joe’s return although part way also helped to mend the wounds they had in their family and afootball prediction wakeup call for those who once mocked them.
The selfish behavior of the guests at Bella’s party had left the others lacking in tact but at least Joe was around to stand up for his family. Sorrows can be received from everywhere one can think of, yet happiness never has any place like the home and loved ones. Together, they would build a better future in each other’s hands, they would not only merely exist but thrive
