Gift for a rude birthday: How I Made Sweet Revenge of My

A Marriage That Took a Turn

After a year of marriage, things began to change between my husband, Jack, and me. About six months ago, Jack became very focused on the gym, which at first I thought was motivating. But soon, his attention turned to my appearance, and his comments started to wear me down. He’d show me pictures of models with “ideal” body types, suggesting I could look like them. Then, he made a comment about how I’d look “ten times better” with breast implants. I tried to brush it off, but it stung every time.

The Birthday Surprise

The final straw came on my birthday. Jack gave me flowers and an envelope, which seemed like a nice gesture. But when I opened it, the note said, “TIME TO FIX THOSE MOSQUITO BITES,” referring to my breasts. Inside was money for a “boob job.” I thanked him, but inside, I knew this wasn’t going to stand.

My Plan of Action

I pretended to be grateful, telling Jack I’d “contacted a clinic.” In reality, I used the money for a full health checkup and began working on my own fitness journey. I started going to the gym early in the mornings, working on my strength, not for Jack, but for me.

The Turning Point

Jack eventually noticed the changes in me, thinking I was getting ready for the surgery. On the day I was supposed to have the “boob job,” I instead treated myself to a spa day. I also had a locksmith change the locks at home. When I returned, Jack was confused, finding his things packed up. I handed him the remaining money and told him to find someone who met his standards.

Jack tried to apologise, but the damage was done. I knew I deserved better than someone who didn’t accept me as I was. I moved on, finding peace and confidence in my fitness routine. Now, I’m in a much better place, happy with who I am, and surrounded by people who value me for it.
