I mourned my wife for five years – Then one day, I was shocked to find the same flowers from her grave arranged in the kitchen vase

A Day of Remembrance

Ben dreaded the day he lost his wife, Winter, and his daughter Eliza lost her mother. It had been five years since that tragic accident. The memory of Winter’s laughter and kindness still haunted him, and the date on the calendar always reminded him of the emptiness that followed her death.

A Visit to the Cemetery

“I’m going to the cemetery,” Ben told Eliza, who had never really been the same since Winter passed. Eliza didn’t respond much; she just retreated to her room.

On his way to the cemetery, Ben stopped at a flower shop and picked out a large bouquet of white roses, just like the ones he always brought to Winter’s grave. He remembered the first time he bought those roses, years ago, when Winter had smiled so brightly upon receiving them.

The Strange Discovery

At the cemetery, Ben placed the roses on Winter’s grave and cried. “I miss you, Winter,” he whispered. But he knew he couldn’t bring her back. He wiped his tears and headed home, hoping to find some peace.

Back home, the house felt quiet. Eliza wasn’t around, so Ben poured himself a coffee. But when he entered the kitchen, he saw something strange – the same bouquet of white roses sitting on the table. Confused, he asked Eliza about them when she returned. She claimed she had no idea where they came from and hadn’t seen them before.

The Hidden Truth

Ben drove back to the cemetery, but the flowers were gone. He returned home, only to find the roses still on the table. Underneath the vase was a note: “I know the truth, and I forgive you.”

Ben then confessed to Eliza. The night Winter died wasn’t an accident—it was because of an argument about Ben’s affair. But Eliza already knew. She had found Winter’s diary and understood everything. She had taken the roses to make her father face the truth he’d been hiding.
