Megan Fox Rejected A Rose From A Young Fan And Was Never Able To Make Up For It After He Was Identified

Megan Fox has apologized to the young boy she accidentally ignored at the London premiere of Transformers. The incident, which happened in 2009, gained global attention after photos of the moment went viral.

At just 11 years old, Harvey Kindlon, a fan from London, had been excited to meet Megan during her visit to promote Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Megan, who played Mikaela Banes, the girlfriend of Shia LaBeouf’s character, was already a global star. Wherever she went, crowds of fans and photographers followed.

During the premiere, Harvey brought a yellow rose to give to Megan. However, as he tried to approach her, she walked past without noticing him. The photos showed Harvey holding the rose inches from her face while she looked away, which sparked sympathy for the young fan.

The images quickly spread online, and Harvey became known as ‘Rose Boy’. At school, he faced teasing about the moment, with many feeling sorry for him.

Megan, then 23, found out about the incident during a press interview. She issued a public apology, explaining she hadn’t seen Harvey because of the chaos. “There were so many people and flashes everywhere,” Megan said. “I feel so sad for him. I would never ignore someone like that. I’m so sorry, sweet boy.”

She added that she would have gladly accepted his rose if she’d realized what was happening. Kodak even stepped in, offering $5,000 and a chance for Harvey to meet Megan.

The internet quickly located Harvey, and it was arranged for him to meet Megan in New York. Unfortunately, the meeting didn’t happen because the TV show Megan was appearing on got canceled after Michael Jackson’s sudden death. Megan returned to LA, and Harvey missed his chance again.

Despite this, Harvey still enjoyed his moment of fame. He appeared on Good Morning America and revealed an interesting detail — the rose wasn’t even his. It belonged to his cousin, Cassie, who also admired Megan.

In the end, Harvey’s story became a reminder that meeting your heroes doesn’t always go as planned.
