A plus-sized model has criticized theme parks for not having seats that accommodate larger people.
Gracie Bon, a social media model with 9.6 million Instagram followers and 452K TikTok followers, often speaks about the struggles she faces in public spaces because of her size.
On Monday (November 11), Gracie posted a TikTok video highlighting this issue. The video showed her attempting to sit on a rollercoaster seat at a theme park. She tried to fit but quickly realized the seat was too small. Bon zoomed in on her lower body, made a stunned expression, and shook her head.
Her caption read: “Please just make the seats bigger” in both English and Spanish. She also used a voiceover of No Doubt’s song “Just A Girl,” adding, “The seat belt didn’t close. These things happen because I have big legs.”
The video sparked mixed reactions in the comments. Some viewers criticized her. One person wrote: “Stop making everything a problem! The world doesn’t revolve around you!” Another added: “The world doesn’t have to cater to you. Do better.”
Others were equally harsh. One comment said: “Why should they spend money making bigger seats for people who have no self-control? This is entitlement.”
However, not everyone agreed. Some supported Gracie’s point. “They should make seats bigger! It’s 2024; people come in all sizes!” one user commented.
This isn’t the first time Gracie has faced challenges due to her size. Previously, she posted a video about struggling to fit into airplane seats, even in first class. She said: “Airplanes should have bigger seats. It’s not my fault to have an a** this big.
Gracie claimed that she was eventually banned from airlines after raising her concerns. As a result, she now travels using private jets. In a follow-up clip, she shared the spacious interior of her jet, calling it the “best solution” since her airline ban.
She jokingly reflected on her struggles, and some people now wonder: Will Gracie design her own theme park with seats that fit her? Only time will tell.
