Customer Attacked Over a Bad Review
Would you believe someone traveled over 500 miles just to confront a customer for a negative review? That’s exactly what happened in a shocking incident caught on CCTV.
The Delayed Order That Sparked Outrage
Xiao Li, a young woman from Zhengzhou, China, left a bad review on Taobao after her clothing order was delayed by four days. While most vendors might apologize or offer a solution, this seller, identified as Zhang, took an extreme approach.
An Unbelievable Reaction
Infuriated by the review, Zhang threatened Xiao Li, claiming it hurt his online reputation. His anger didn’t stop there. He traveled overnight from Suzhou, over 500 miles away, to confront her in person.
The CCTV footage shows Zhang attacking Xiao Li on the street while she looked at her phone. He kicked and slapped her repeatedly, leaving her injured and lying on the ground before walking away.
Aftermath of the Attack
Xiao Li required hospital treatment for a concussion and other injuries. While recovering, she received a chilling message from Zhang admitting his intentions and warning that he could attack her again.
Police have confirmed they are investigating the case, but details remain limited. It’s unclear if Xiao Li ever received her order.
Similar Incidents of Violence
Sadly, this isn’t an isolated case. In Changsha, a restaurant owner nearly beat a man to death after his wife left a bad review. Another incident in Hainan involved a delivery driver assaulting a customer, fearing she might leave a poor rating.
A Simple Lesson
Instead of resorting to violence, shouldn’t businesses focus on providing good service to avoid bad reviews? It’s a much easier—and safer—solution for everyone involved.
