Richard David Hendrickson, CEO of Lifetime Products, and his 16-year-old daughter, Sally, tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Ogden Canyon. On Saturday, Hendrickson’s pickup truck collided with a bulldozer that had become detached from a tow vehicle while navigating a sharp turn.
Both Richard and Sally were pronounced dead at the scene, while two other passengers in the truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Hendrickson was a visionary leader, known for his mechanical expertise and as the founder of Lifetime Products, a global outdoor and leisure equipment company.
Beyond business, he was deeply committed to his faith and community, serving as a stake president for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His contributions extended beyond work, shaping the lives of those around him.
The sudden deaths left the community in shock. Utah Governor Spencer Cox expressed his condolences, calling Hendrickson a leader and a friend. Colleagues, peers, and community members shared tributes, recounting his impact on their lives. Sally, a vibrant teenager, is remembered for her potential and the joy she brought to those who knew her.
