Colleen’s Concern for the Twins
Every evening, Colleen, a 32-year-old woman who longed to have children, noticed two young girls, around eight years old, sitting alone in the park. Their sad eyes and shabby clothes pulled at her heart. As the cold nights grew colder, Colleen couldn’t help but worry about their safety. A Surprising Discovery
The twins, Hannah and Lily, got on a bus, looking small and frightened. Colleen followed them for nine stops, her worry growing with each passing moment. When they got off, they entered a large house in a wealthy neighborhood, which seemed out of place given their appearance. Colleen approached the house and rang the doorbell, but a maid answered, followed by a man in a suit who was clearly irritated by her presence. He dismissed her without listening.

The next day, Colleen spoke directly to the girls in the park. Hannah, the older of the two, explained that their mother had passed away three years ago. Since then, their father remarried, and their stepmother treated them poorly. They were forced to leave home every day, often missing meals and wearing old clothes. Colleen, heartbroken by their story, promised to help.

Colleen recorded their story and tried confronting their father again, but he ignored her. Determined, Colleen contacted social services with the evidence, leading to an investigation. The authorities intervened and removed the girls from the home.
A New Beginning
Colleen didn’t hesitate to offer to become the girls’ foster mother. She enrolled them in school, bought them clothes, and provided the care they had lacked. After six months, Colleen officially adopted Hannah and Lily.
